Gas Carb Check If your gasoline engine suddenly starts acting up, it’s a good time to check the carburetor. Fuel supply is often the main cause of poor engine performance, so check the fuel line for pin holes and blockage. Also, inside the typical Walbro “pumper” carburetor there is a screen that helps filter the incoming gas. Make sure it is clean and unclogged. After cleaning it, replace the cover and make sure the gasket is in good condition and the attachment screw is tight. Always use clean, well-filtered fuel and install a filter between your tank and your engine. Another filter between your airplane and your fuel supply/ storage can is also a good idea.
