with most popular brand 3-axis gyros. Also
included are enlarged titanium rods and
ball linkages for strength and extreme pitch
response to suit your flying style. Thunder
Tiger will soon release a new flybarless
control system, which I will tell you more
about as soon as I get more information.
One of the newest forms of our hobby is
the quadcopter that we are starting to see
advertised more and more. Until recently,
I had not seen one in person and was
only familiar with the advertisements in
the magazines. However, at the SPARKS
fun fly mentioned above, I had a chance
to meet Paul Baxter, owner and developer
of the QuadCopter ( hoverthings.com).
Paul had one of his VC-450 Quads on
hand for a close-up look and several flight
demos. This is a much more sophisticated
machine than I had imagined. Advanced
electronics designed by Paul, brushless
motors and a LiPo battery pack made this
a state of the art device. Since these QuadCopters are getting to be more popular, I’ll
have to learn more about them and keep
you informed of their continuing progress.

The NEW Saito™ FG- 21 Gas Engine
There are a lot of advantages to going with gas, like cleaner
operation and cheaper fuel. But Saito 4-stroke gas engines
give modelers more; namely some of the most impressive
power-to-weight ratios in their class. The new FG- 21 is no
exception. Based on the groundbreaking Saito FG- 20, it packs
21cc’s of power into a 15cc case. Accompanying the extra
displacement is a more efficient carburetor, updated exhaust
valve seats and, of course, the sweet 4-stroke sound Saito
engines are famous for.
Put some punch into your next 1.20-size flying experience.
