A new concept for precision
aerobatics and 3D flight
EVERY PILOT I KNOW, young or old, has told me at some point
about a hot new plane that he or she couldn’t wait to get his or
her hands on. Slick advertisers have a way of giving glimpses
of future products and a while ago, I caught a sneak peek of
the Inverza 33 from Hangar 9 and had to have it. ;e full-scale
Inverza is a cool new concept airplane that is on track to become
quite an aerobatic airshow contender. ;ank the Gods, or at least
the Godfather of 3D (Quique Somenzini), for having worked
with the Inverza design team and for then creating a 75-inch RC
Inverza, which is available now. Hangar 9 is top of the line and
their behind-the-scenes support is incredible but have you seen
this plane? It looks killer! As with all Hangar 9 ARFs, you get the
“works” package and not the “basic” approach to an almost-ready-to-fly model airplane. In my experience, the Hangar
9 kits are well-engineered and assembled, and the hardware
included is among the best out there. Ball-link-style connections
come standard as do well fabricated fiberglass parts. Besides the
sharp-looking cowl and wheel pants, you get aluminum gear,
a carbon-fiber wing tube, and most importantly, an expertly
designed airplane, that when accompanied by its well-written
instruction manual, will have you up and flying in minimal time.
