A scale-like seaplane with impressive performance

When I first saw the new Tidewater seaplane from Flyzone, I wondered why I had never seen or heard of this
full-scale sport aviation airplane before. A little surfing on the Internet proved that there was no such full-size
Tidewater! ;e new seaplane looks like a real seaplane and it has lots of scale appeal. I bet it would translate
really well into a two-place, full-scale, homebuilt airplane. ;e model just looks right for flying o; water.
I’ve done a lot of seaplane flying—both with flying boat designs and with float-equipped models. Takeo;s
and landings from the water are a lot of fun and most of my flights are spent just doing touch-and-gos. Water
proofing is a major issue when operating from water, and the Tidewater’s wing and hatch fit so well that I
doubt much water will ever get into the fuselage. A magnet holds the front battery hatch securely in place.
